WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a vital member of our Compliance function, you will take on a role within the Trading Advisory team, concentrating particularly on Sales Advisory. Your mission will be to collaborate closely with Institutional Trading and Sales professionals to ensure all engagements, client-facing communications and trading strategies are fully aligned with current regulations. Your role will be pivotal in shaping a compliance-first culture that doesn’t hinder progress but instead enables responsible expansion.

You’ll act as a critical touchpoint between business operations and regulatory expectations, ensuring that all activities remain within permissible boundaries while encouraging sustainable growth. As our organization continues to navigate the complexity of evolving laws and jurisdiction-specific requirements, your insights will be instrumental in preventing exposure to regulatory violations and reputational risks.

Your primary duties will include:

  • Offering strategic compliance guidance on matters related to institutional trading, focusing on behavioral expectations, ethical considerations and reputation management.
  • Advising on the implementation of anti-money laundering (AML) frameworks specifically as they pertain to trading functions and the onboarding of institutional counterparties.
  • Assisting in the early detection, escalation and mitigation of any activities that could be flagged under sanctions law, ensuring the firm upholds high international compliance standards.
  • Acting as a point of contact for day-to-day questions and concerns from the Sales and Trading desks, delivering actionable and risk-sensitive compliance advice in a fast-paced environment.
  • Monitoring compliance with cross-border trading protocols and ensuring communication standards align with varying regulatory mandates across jurisdictions.
  • Reviewing client-facing materials including promotional content, legal disclosures and financial documents, to validate their compliance with applicable standards for accuracy, completeness and fairness.
  • Helping develop internal controls and informational safeguards to prevent the mishandling of confidential or market-sensitive data.
  • Collaborating with multiple departments – product, legal, marketing and operations – to embed compliance practices into the DNA of company-wide initiatives and go-to-market strategies.
  • Playing a leading role in both local and global regulatory change projects, such as adapting to MiFID II, EMIR and other emerging requirements, ensuring the firm stays agile and compliant.
  • Supporting external audit requests, regulatory questionnaires and documentation demands from exchanges or oversight bodies.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to translate complex legal or regulatory language into business-friendly guidance for a range of internal audiences.
  • A collaborative nature – you work well with others, respect differing viewpoints and can forge consensus across teams with different priorities.
